  • Restored the MainStreet Hobbs building and provided an affordable office space for non-profits throughout the community

 

  • Established a Façade Improvement Grant. Awarding out 10 Façade Improvement grants through the years


Facade Improvement

  • MainStreet Hobbs welcomed reinvestment to the Downtown of an estimated $840,000 in private and public funding!  This investment included new businesses, new facades, renovations and events.

 

  • MainStreet Hobbs secured $30,000.00 of state funding and $25,000.00 in tax credits for the renovation and historic preservation of the first property in downtown Hobbs!

  • MainStreet Hobbs provided design and architectural assistance which helped redesign and repurpose this neglected property

  • Welcomed the completion of the Shipp Street Plaza which hosted many of the downtown events of 2010
  • One of 15 veteran NM MainStreet communities to receive 4 signs to mark the MainStreet District.  MainStreet welcomed the installation of the first sign on the corner of Broadway and Marland.

Established a Beautification Committee that has branched out on its own and is now known as “Hobbs Beautiful”

 

 

 

Successfully bring 20,000+ visitors/community members to the downtown area for 13 years with Hobbs August Nites

 

 

Host of the Christmas Nite Lite Parade every year to encourage Christmas Shopping in downtown.
